Saturday "Fun Day" Starting on January 5 for 1st - 4th Graders!

P.E. SATURDAYS - As the calendar turns to a new year, heat up your Saturday mornings with some lively and fun physical education. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will start each class with warm up exercises before moving on to a unique sporting activity. Classes will be taught by Tenacre Camp counselor/P.E. teacher DaJaun “D” Owens.
January 5: Basketball
January 12: Kickball
January 26: Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course
All classes will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in Tenacre’s gymnasium.
Each class is $15 to offset cost of materials. Need-based financial scholarships are available; please contact Lee Frechette for more information.
ART SATURDAYS - Explore your creative side this January with three classes focusing on a variety of aspects of art. Each workshop will consist of an educational section and a hands-on creative session. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will take home their own masterpiece based on the style and process studied. The classes will be taught by Tenacre art teacher Molly Curry and Tenacre technology teacher Melissa Roper.
January 5: Winter Landscapes
January 12: Making Scribble Bots
January 26: Jim Dine Hearts
All classes will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. in Tenacre’s art studio.

STORY TIME SATURDAYS - Join us this winter for a fun, thematic story and craft program geared to families of 3- and 4-year-olds. Each session is a separate unit taught by one of Tenacre’s pre-kindergarten or kindergarten teachers.
January 5: Blooming Bulbs
January 12: Sparkling Snow
January 26: Fun Down Under (celebrating Australia Day)
Story Time will start at 9:00 a.m. and run for about 45 minutes in Tenacre’s library.
Story Time is free of charge, but registration is required so we can have a craft and snack prepared for each child. Please contact Lee Frechette if your child has a food allergy.
